Summary

This is a love story between a princess and a knight; Simin & Farzan. It’s their wedding night when in an unexpected event Simin gets kidnapped. Farzan begins a journey, he meets new people, passes different obstacles and overcomes his rivals to find Simin and bring her back home.

About the show

“Simin and Farzan” is a paper puppet show based on Alexander Pushkin’s “Ruslan and Lyudmila”, but here we tell this story in an Iranian context. Puppets and Scenery are inspired by Iranian illustrated lithographed books of the Qajar era (1789-1906). and Guess what? The show accompanied by live music with traditional Iranian instruments.
